Traditional hospitality in the heart of Prishtina
For generations, Shpija e Vjetër has been the house where locals and travellers share the table - fresh bread, old recipes, and a fire that never goes out.
One house, a hundred reasons
Traditional recipes
Passed down through generations, cooked slowly.
Fresh bread daily
Baked in a stone oven, served warm.
Local ingredients
From Kosovar farmers - meat, cheese, vegetables.
Warm atmosphere
Candlelight, wood, greenery and quiet music.
A family restaurant
Welcomed as guests, never as customers.
Albanian hospitality
The old code: the guest above all.

Why it's called Shpija e Vjetër
This house has stood for more than a century. Its walls have heard weddings, feasts, political debates, poetry, songs and children laughing. When we opened it as a restaurant, we didn't want to change it - we wanted to keep it.
Every beam, every brick, every old lamp remains in its place. We only added tables, wines, and the recipes of our grandmothers. That is what Shpija e Vjetër means: a house that holds people together, as it always has.
"When you sit here, you sit at a Kosovar family's table."
